Funeral for Bettye Doris Powers, 76, was Mon., Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Charles “Chuck” Oden and Ronnie Bullard officiating.

Burial was in Pines Cemetery.

Ms. Powers died Sat., Sept. 10, 2011, at Crestwood Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1935, in Morgan County to Rufus “R.C.” Clarence Anderson and Doris Eulene Durham Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Faires Powers.

She is survived by a daughter, Angie Holmes and husband Jake of Somerville; two brothers, Tony Anderson and Gene Anderson; a sister, Suzy Bowen of Somerville; and two grandchildren, Tristen Weathers and Mason Holmes.

Pallbearers were family members and friends.
