Lady Hawks take two in region
Danville (22-18) used four sets to defeat a short-handed West Morgan team and also defeated Clements to pick up two key area wins Tuesday night.
Danville defeated West Morgan, who was without two key players, 25-22, 16-25, 25-17, 25-15 and then swept Clements 25-13, 25-13, 25-13.
Statistical leaders were Sydni Shelton with 22 kills, 13 blocks and 24 digs. Haley Rae Garnett added 38 assists and seven aces. Jada Callahan had 11 kills and 22 digs followed by Lindsey Vinzant with eight aces and Keri Callahan with 18 digs.

Danville will play next in the its own “Dig Pink” Tournament of Champions this Saturday, promoting breast cancer awareness. The school will be hosting 24 of the state’s top teams, some from as far away as Mobile. Play begins at 9 a.m. on eight courts in Danville and at Hartselle High.
Danville splits with Hartselle, Catholic
Danville (20-18) split a tri-match tonight at Danville.
Hartselle defeated Danville 25-18, 25-23 while Danville defeated Catholic 16-25, 25-18, 15-11.
Jada Callahan led the team with nine kills, four aces and 21 digs. Sydni Shelton had 24 kills and four blocks while Haley Rae Garnett had seven kills and 30 assists.
Hannah McClung added three blocks while Keri Callahan had 14 digs.
