Funeral for Gladys L. Henry Knox, 88, of Hartselle will be Thur., Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Wilks officiating.
Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery at Massey.
Mrs. Knox died Sun., Sept. 25, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 25, 1923, in Morgan County to E.W. “Ed” and Ethel Turner Henry. She was a member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Talmadge Knox, a son, Arthur Knox, and four brothers, Albert, Robert, Dalton and Roy Joe Henry.
She is survived by two daughters, Diann Knox Sullins of Hartselle and Patsy Knox Key of Eva; three brothers, James Henry of Falkville, Howard Henry of Loraine, Ohio and Charles Henry of Hartselle; a sister, Cozie Holmes of Hartselle; four surviving grandchildren, Michelle Tapscott, Michael Knox, Leslie Russo, Alex Sullins; four great-grandchildren, Griff Knox, Cody Tapscott, Brody Tapscott and Lily Anne Nielsen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice, Suite 118, 4330 Hwy. 78E, Jasper, AL 35501.
