Renee Thompson, 44, of Hartselle died Thur., Oct. 6, 2011, at her residence.

A memorial service for her will be conducted at a later date. Peck Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Ms. Thompson was born Dec. 7, 1966, in Morgan County to Edgar Roy Thompson and Diane Jean Gray Murphy.

She is survived by her common law husband, Gary Holmes of Hartselle; her mother, Diane Jean Gray Murphy; two brothers, Anthony Thompson and Robert Thompson, both of Danville; and two sisters, Cindy Brown of Danville and Lynn West of Moulton.
