Crestline Elementary Fall Festival Saturday
Crestline Elementary School has announced plans for its annual Fall Festival, which will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The community-wide event will feature dozens of carnival prize games, inflatables, cake walk, food court, and a silent auction.
“Our lineup of fun-filled activities has something to offer for everyone – kids, parents and grandparents, too,” said Amy Balch, project chairperson. “We’d like to see families from throughout the Hartselle area come out and enjoy the fun and excitement. Every dollar we raise goes back into the classrooms.
“Students have been selling paper chain links for $1 each for the past three weeks and response has been good,” said Balch. “The chains are growing overhead in the hallways and we hope to reach our goal of $6,000 by the end of the day (today).”
The cake walk, which features dozens of delicious homemade cakes, will be held in the school cafeteria, along with a food court that will offer hot dogs, hamburgers and other popular food items.
Carnival prize games will be set up in both gyms. They will include ghostly grab bags, fishpond, basketball throw, Pepsi toss and many others. Outdoor events such as an obstacle course, pumpkin patch and inflatables will be offers behind the two gyms.
A silent auction will also be a part of the festival. It will be held in the music room and will include items donated by local businesses, Alabama football tickets, Huntsville Havoc tickets and two beachfront vacations.
