Brewer JROTC wins at competition

Brewer High School’s JROTC cadets captured top honors at a recent competition sponsored by American Legion Post #15 in Decatur.

Competing against units from Austin and Athens high schools, they won first place in color guard, drilling with arms and drilling without arms categories.

In individual competitions Brewer’s Alex Artis won first place in commands drill and received a trophy and $100. Brewer’s Zack Henderson performed a rifle display exercise and Trawick Lowe and Cole Young performed a drum duet.
