Woman indicted on drug charges found at site of previous meth lab bust
Authorities searching the site of a methamphetamine bust in September found a Joppa woman who was indicted on drug charges.
Melisa Brown Sullivan, 45, of 598 Double S Mountain Road in Joppa was arrested and faces indictments of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance first degree, unlawful possession of marijuana first degree and chemical endangerment of a child. She is being held on a $1 million bond.
According to a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office press release, deputies were called to 598 Double S Mountain Road in the Hulaco community, which is the same address in which deputies retrieved a large meth lab, a 5-week-old baby and a large quantity of marijuana on Sept. 10.
A concerned citizen reported that someone was the inside of the house using a flashlight and didn’t think anyone should be there. When deputies arrived, they they found the suspect in the residence. She was using a flashlight because there was no at the residence.
After learning of the indictments, Sgt. D. Rawlins with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office placed Sullivan under arrest and transported her to the Morgan County Jail.
