Funeral for Evelyn Helms, 81, of Hartselle will be Sun., Nov. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.
Visitation will be Sun., Nov. 13, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Helms died Wed, Nov. 9, 2011, at Madison Manor Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born July 24, 1930, in Morgan County to Malcolm David Laughmiller and Freddie Mae Call Laughmiller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Eugene Helms, her parents and a daughter, Peggy Joyce Boyd.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Helms and wife Kelly of Huntsville; Danny Helms and wife Juanita of Hartselle; a brother, David Laughmiller and wife Jane of Decatur; three sisters, Mae Garner of Decatur, Mary Kathryn Davis and husband Bill of Tuscaloosa and Martha Byrd of Brundidge; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
