Flash flood warning issued for area

Morgan County has been placed under a flash flood warning until 1 p.m. today.

A slow moving storm with heavy rainfall could cause flooding in Hartselle, Danville, Falkville and Priceville.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams along with highways and underpasses. Country roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks, streams and other low-lying areas are subject to flooding.
