Love your enemies, work on relationships
I’m sure that we’ve all met difficult people in our lives but Jesus’ sermon on the mount in Matthew 5:44 tells us, “But I say to love your enemies do so to those who hate you”. It also goes on farther to tell us to bless those who curse you, do good to them that despise you and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you.
I read that President Abraham Lincoln once told someone that he destroyed his enemies when he made them his friends. Not everyone will respond in a positive way so we just need to work harder on a better relationship. This could result in an enemy becoming a friend.
