Funeral for Jack C. Oden, 88, of Decatur was Sun., Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Eric Mattox and Jason Moore officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Oden died Thur., Sept. 27, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born April 29, 1924, in Morgan County to Harvey Anderson Oden and Martha Elizabeth Gibson Oden and a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. He is a veteran of World War II, where he served as a corporal in the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Kelsoe Oden of Priceville; two sons, Gary Carl Oden of the Phillipines and Larry K. Oden of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., a sister, Dorothy Elizabeth Murphy of Decatur; and two grandchildren, Christopher Carl Oden and Shawn Patrick Oden.
Pallbearers were John Evans Jr., Greg Oneal, Wayne Lawrence, Johnny Hayes, Stanley Sandlin and Tracy Herring.
