First Independent Methodist Church, 3 Oxmore Flint Road in Decatur, will host a Swamp Johns Youth Fundraiser, Sat., May 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. Plates are $10 each. Plates come with your choice of fish, chicken, shrimp or a combo.

Hwy. 36 Holy Church of Christ will have a gospel pickin’ and grinin’ on May 18 at 6 p.m.

East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle will be selling Swamp Johns, May 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit a youth missions trip.

Oak Ridge United Methodist Church will observe homecoming and Decoration Day on Sun., May 26. Worship service will be at 11 a.m., followed by a covered dish lunch in the fellowship hall. Freed Indeed will sing at 1:30 p.m.
