The Hartselle Fine Arts Center will host an Afternoon of Jazz & Art Sunday May 19 at 2:30 p.m. at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center.
Hartselle High School’s Jazz Band will perform under the direction of Randall Key. The Watercolor Society of Alabama’s 72nd National Exhibition will also be on display after the show.
The Fine Arts Center hosted this art show for the first time this year. It has been on display from Sunday, April 7 and will continue through Sunday, May 26. The exhibit features over 100 paintings by artists across the United States.
Admission to the Afternoon of Art & Jazz is free, but donations are accepted. All proceeds will go to the upkeep of the Hartselle Fine Arts Center’s historic building.
Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Fine Arts Center, Randy Garrison, was glad to be able to showcase the Hartselle High Jazz Band.
“The Fine Arts Center is appreciative of the jazz band’s offer to do this for us,” Garrison said. “We were happy to give them an opportunity to perform.”
