Brewer High hosts C/T Awards Night
More than 100 career/technical students from Morgan County’s middle and high schools were singled out for special recognition at the 24th Annual Career/-Technical Education Awards Night at Brewer High School on May 9.
The Career Technical Education Advisory Council awarded $21,000 in college scholarship money to 14 graduation candidates. Receiving $1,500 apiece were Tyler Tucker, Heather Smith, Jack Puckett. Seth Pillow and Kathryn Guyse, all from Falkville High School; Haley Cutcher, Jordan Turney and Quinn Roberts, all from Danville High School; Adam Swader, Morgan Sutton, and Kana Adkins, all from Brewer High School; Ashton Newman and Brandi Pena, both from West Morgan High School; and Janesa Terry, Priceville High School.
“We were able to increase the amount from $1,200 to $1,500 because of a flurry of donations that came in at the last minute,” said Chris Blevins, Morgan County director of career/technical education.
