Childers graduates from basic training in Texas

Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua D. Childers graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

He completed an intensive 8-week program that included training in Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Childers is the son of Jennifer Phillips of Decatur and grandson of Ann Casle of Falkville. He is a 2012 graduate of Priceville High School.
