Duykers receives perfect score

Cecilia Duykers, a third grader at Cotaco Elementary, received a perfect score at the AMTA String Auditions at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham April 27.

She auditioned on violin in the solo category and performed in a piano trio in the chamber music category. Her piano trio was selected to perform in the HMTA Honors Recital April 28 at UAH. Cecilia studies with Barbara Poularikas in Huntsville and is the daughter of Allison and Gill Duykers of Lacey Springs.
