Woman charged with shoplifting

Decatur police arrested a Danville resident Sat., May 11, for shoplifting from the Decatur Wal-Mart at 2800 Spring Avenue SW.

Officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart, and Malinda Gail Dollar, 49, was placed under arrest for theft of property 3rd degree and transported to the Decatur City Jail.

While being booked, officers located a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, hydrocodone and Xanax in Dollar’s purse. Dollar was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a con-trolled substance.

She will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail and held with a $3,000 bond.
