James W. Roan

Funeral for James W. Roan, 66, of Huntsville was Fri., May 24, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Roan died Wed. May 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Morgan County to Ralph William Roan and Helen Francis Betterton Roan. Mr. Roan served in the Air Force from 1965 until 1969 as an aircraft mechanic. He was stationed in Taiwan and Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was a former employee of General Motors as a welding inspector. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Roan; a son, Joshua Roan; a daughter, Katrina Elmore, all of Huntsville; two brothers, Delwin and Harlon Roan; and two grandchildren, Lydia and Lena Elmore.
