Funeral for Troy Holmes, 80, of Falkville will be Sun., June 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Aaron Dawson and Bro. Dennis Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Morgan County. Visitation will be Sat., June 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Holmes died Fri., May 31, 2013, at Falkville Health Care Center. He was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Cullman County to Cephus Holmes and Unerdee Brown Holmes. He was formerly employed by Decatur Aluminum in the maintenance department and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Holmes.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel Holmes of Falkville; two sons, Anthony Holmes and wife Anita and Tony Holmes and wife Jeanie, both of Falkville; a sister, Azzalee Daily of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Coty Holmes and wife Jamie and Crystal Johnson and husband Allen; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Cameron and Avery Johnson; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Gracie.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
