Funeral for Bobby Joe Thomas, 77, of Lacey’s Spring will be Wed., June 5, at 1 p.m. at Valhermoso Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Craye Hall officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed., June 5, from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas died Mon., June 3, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Morgan County to John Cooper Thomas and Vera Smith Thomas. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Ebbie Lee Kidd; a sister, Jerry Lamb of Scottsboro; a niece, Lori Sloan; and a nephew, Bruce Lamb.
