Funeral for Mildred Parrish, 91, of Decatur was Tues., June 11, at 3 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church at Snead with Bro. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshall Co.

Mrs. Parrish died Sat., June 8, 2013, at her residence. She was born Jan. 7, 1922, in Marshall County to Charles Harvey Edmonds and Frances Lee Starkey Edmonds. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.C. Parrish who died Oct. 31, 1991, and a son, Craig Parrish, who died April 16, 2012.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sartin and husband Gary E. of Danville; two brothers, J.E. Edmonds of Pisgah and Frank Edmonds of Horton; three sisters, Martha Absher and Ruth Miller, both of Gardendale and Faye Whitlow of Birmingham; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brian Sartin, Dylan Sartin, Kenny Sartin, Matthew

Sartin, Richard Jenkins, Joshua Sartin and Dwayne Sartin.
