Nominations for FSA begin
The USDA’s Farm Service Agency wants to remind farmers and landowners that local FSA county committee nomination begins Friday, June 17.
To be eligible to serve on an FSA county committee, a person must participate or cooperate in a program administered by FSA, be eligible to vote in a county committee election and reside in the local administrative area in which the person is a candidate.
This year an election will be held in Local Administrative Area 1, which includes Decatur, Trinity, Flint, Andrews Chapel and Danville.
To become a candidate, an eligible individual must sign the nomination form, FSA-669A, which can be found at
www.fsa.usda.gov/elections.
Morgan County FSA will conduct an informational meeting regarding the 2013 County Committee Election process June 26 at 8:30 a.m.
