Martin designs arbor
A Hartselle native and 1992 Auburn University graduate designed the new Sara Askew Jones Arbor entrance to the Hess Camellia Garden at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Robert Martin’s design was recently completed and dedicated June 4. Robinson Iron Inc. and volunteer John Jones installed the arbor. Martin is a former architecture editor for Southern Living.
He began his career as a field architectural draftsman for the Historic American Engineering Record. He is also the co-creator of getmorecurbappeal.com, an online business where he is head residential designer. He currently resides in Birmingham.
