Funeral for Boyd Chasteen Jr., 82, of Hartselle was Wed., July 3, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Holt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Chasteen died Tues., July 2, 2013, at his residence. He was born Jan. 27, 1931, in Morgan County to Boyd Chasteen Sr. and Ila Mae Davidson Chasteen. He was a former school bus driver for the Morgan County School System and worked for the city of Hartselle as a meter reader. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Lang Chasteen of Hartselle; a daughter, Patricia Simpson of Hartselle; two grandchildren, Chris Bomar and Megan Patterson; and three great-grandchildren, Kobly, Kinley and Lily.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
