Flooding reported in Hartselle
A flash flood warning continues through 5:15 p.m. today after more than three inches of rain has fallen across Morgan County.
Flooding was reported in downtown Hartselle on West Main Street and along Railroad Street. Heavy rains also caused flooding along U.S. 31 north of Main Street.
In addition to that, Hartselle Utilities reported a a water line break near Walker Fields, which is adding to the water run-off in downtown.
The break also resulted in low water pressure for many Hartselle residents Thursday.
Residents north of the former Hartselle High School were among the most affected.
Hartselle Utilities is working on the problem; however, the heavy rain is making the job difficult for workers to fix the problem.
