Blackwood named MaxPreps All-American

Hartselle shortstop Brett Blackwood was named a 2013 MaxPreps Baseball All-American on Sunday.

Blackwood finished his junior season with a .488 batting average, 103 hits in 211 at bats, 71 runs, 26 doubles, 18 home runs and 78 RBI.

The senior will also be heading to Montgomery to compete in the North-South All-Star Game on Monday.
