Assurance of eternity with God more wonderful than imagined
I’ve often heard people say, “I dread night coming.” Revelation 21:23-25 tells of a night that will never come.
First, a night of darkness will never come because of the reassurance found in verse 23: “And the city will have no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Secondly, a night of death will never come because verse 24 tells us: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. Lastly, a night of damnation will never come because of 21:5: “And he that sat upon the throne said, ‘Behold, I will make all things new’” meaning no more curse of sin.
What a wonderful truth is found in these scriptures. No matter what you are going through, we have the hope of knowing that eternity with God will be more wonderful than we can imagine.
