Final work on new high school continues
Work continues on the modification project at Hartselle High School. Construction manager Jim Maynard reported that the irrigation lines have been capped and separated and the sod removed from the south lawn of the campus where the road surface will be built to fulfill fire code regulation giving firefighters access completely around the campus. The widening of the front turn around should be completed by the end of July, which will also fulfill fire code requirements.
Maynard said artificial turf should be installed next week inside the new $2.2 million athletic field house. Sidewalks are being poured in front of the field house. The road leading to Roan Road will be paved before school begins in August.
