Blood donation event scheduled for Hartselle boy

Hartselle Church of Christ is hosting a community blood drive for Kooper Rooks Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the church, and will provide pizza, snacks and drinks. The church will also be accepting donations for the Rooks and will be selling shirts to support the family as well.

Rooks is currently undergoing treatment for non-hodgkin’s lymphoma at St. Jude’s in Memphis. The community is invited to come out to support the Rooks family, and to sign a blanket that will be given to Kooper to show support.
