Morgan County Extension Office to hold upcoming workshops
The Morgan County Extension office will be hosting two workshops Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. The workshops will cover invasive plants on residential properties while the second one will cover how to keep trees healthy.
The Oct. 29 event will take place at General Joe Wheeler home from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The session will cover invasive plants and will include identification, chemical treatment, prevention and demonstrations. The cost of the workshop is $25 and includes lunch and a home tour. Registration is required and can be made by calling 256-974-2464.
The Oct. 30 event will take place at Decatur’s Delano Park Rose Garden from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The session will welcome International Society of Arboriculture arborist Lee McBride. McBride will cover how to keep trees healthy and demonstrate how to prune trees. The class is free, but registration is required. Registration can be completed by calling 256-773-2549.
