Funeral service for Ruthie Nell Hill Wilhite Lawrence, 82, was held Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Reid, Bro. Richard Bowers and Bro. Chuck Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Roundtop Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence died Nov. 1 at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born May 15, 1936, in Morgan County to Charlie Lee Hill and Pheby Dora Chaney Hill. She was employed as a lunchroom worker for the Falkville cafeteria in the Morgan County School System prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Herman Wilhite and Pat Lawrence, and her parents. Survivors include one son, Lavon Wilhite (Becky); three daughters, Pamela Dunn (Doyle), Jan Smith (Chuck) and Gina Thrasher; one sister, Carolyn Bowers (Richard); nine grandchildren, Christopher Dunn (Rina), Daniel Dunn (Marianne), David Smith, Dustin Smith (Briana), Haley Smith, Jamie Kimbril (Adam), Kelly Wilson (Taylor), Emily Wilhite and Jake Wilhite; and four great-grandchildren, Liora Dunn, Josie Dunn, Dalton Kimbril and Ethan Kimbril.
Pallbearers were Christopher Dunn, Daniel Dunn, David Smith, Dustin Smith, Jake Wilhite, Adam Kimbril, Charles Wilhite and Taylor Wilson.
Donna M. Pfeiffer
New Ulm
Donna M. Pfeiffer, age 88, of New Ulm, died Oct. 31 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial followed in the New Ulm City Cemetery – Soldier’s Rest section.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Ron) Bonnell of Decatur, Catherine (Wil) Burdorf of New Ulm and Christine Pfeiffer of New Ulm; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Ulmen; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Weier and Dorothy Pfeiffer; brother-in-law, Otto Pfeiffer; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, April 12, 1986; her parents; grandson, Scott Fahrenkamp; sister, Florence Bednar; brothers, Albert and Leo Weier; sister-in-law, Bernice Pfeiffer; and brothers-in-law, Ray Ulmen, Walter Pfeiffer and Carl Pfeiffer.
Donna Marie Weier was born Feb. 10, 1930, to Henry and Anna (Klingler) Weier on the farm in Nicollet County. She was baptized and confirmed at the Holy Trinity Church in New Ulm. Donna went to country grade school and then Holy Trinity.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Pfeiffer March 30, 1946, at the Holy Trinity Parish House. They were blessed with three daughters that they raised in New Ulm.
Donna worked at New Ulm Wholesale, Ben Franklin, Loretto Hospital for 12 years and then as a cook for 10 years at the Catholic schoo,l where she retired in 1990. Donna enjoyed traveling, watching old movies, game shows, baseball, football, playing keno at Jackpot and praying the rosary for family and friends, but she especially enjoyed sharing many memories and stories of growing up with her family on the farm. She will be missed for her famous German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut and dumplings. Blessed be her big heart that wore out from all the worrying, love and caring she gave.

Flora Dudley
Laceys Spring
Funeral service for Flora Dudley, 87, was Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Laceys Spring.
Mrs. Dudley died Nov. 1 at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born April 24, 1931, in Morgan County to Jack Woodard and Alice Reece Woodard. She was a member of the Valhermoso Baptist Church and a former Cotaco School cafeteria worker.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Dudley, a son, Jackie Dudley, a daughter, Martha Ann Dudley, and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Hardy Dudley, Somerville, and David Dudley, Somerville; three daughters, Carolyn Parker, Decatur, Gail Freeman, Decatur, and Kathy Champion, Decatur; one brother, Newby Woodard, Laceys Spring; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Matthew Dudley, Tracey Dudley, Nathan Darnell, Jimmy Darnell, Michael Owens and Scott Norwood.
T. Harry Hudson
T. Harry Hudson, 75, died Oct. 25 at Huntsville Hospital as a result of complications following a severe allergic reaction.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan Hudson; his daughters, Lori Scott (Jim) of Tabernash, Colorado, and Trisha Hudson-Hammond (Rusty) of Somerville; his granddaughters, Zoey and Alyssa Scott; his sister, Ethel Koriakin (Allen) of Sparta, New Jersey; and his brother, John E. Hudson Jr. (Fay) of Gibbstown, New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life was held Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Betty Jean Bailey Morgan
Cullman
Funeral service for Betty Jean Bailey Morgan, 80, was held Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kerry Cleghorn and the Rev. Dean Estes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
She was born March 5, 1938. Betty Jean Bailey Morgan completed her journey on earth at her residence in Cullman with her husband of 63 years by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Aubrey and Mary Frances Ramey Bailey; a son, Jerry Charles Morgan; and a sister, Mildred Story.
She graduated from both the University of Alabama and Athens State University. She was a teacher in Madison and Cullman counties, as well as being a teacher and director of WMU in Morgan County, where she taught English as a second language to foreign business associates. She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Cullman.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Rayburn Charles Morgan, Cullman; three daughters, Bonita Lewis, Cullman Janice Knighten (Joe), Vinemont, and Sandra Hill (Don), Falkville; one brother, Joe Bailey (Linda), Holly Pond; one sister, Dr. Joyce Voyles (Larry), Washington, D.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmie Halbrooks, Tommy Halbrooks, Pat Halbrooks, Ronnie Eubanks, Josh Hogeland, Josh Morgan, Matt Hill and Joe Sinclair.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the New Center Cemetery Committee at 587 Church Road in Hartselle, AL 35640.
John L. Stigler
Hartselle
Mr. John L. Stigler, 85, passed away Nov. 7 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 9, 1933, in Polk County, Arkansas, to Emerson Frank Stigler and Sallie Miley Stigler. He was employed by General Construction as a pipefitter prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tommy Dale Stigler.
Survivors include his wife, Carlene Poziviak Stigler, Hartselle; two sons, John Michael Stigler of Ohio and Joeseph Katchmark of Tennessee; three daughters, Donna Koecher of Arkansas, Kim Mehrkens of Hartselle and Nene Pevahouse of Hartselle; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date by his family.
Ronald Johnson
Birmingham
A private graveside funeral service and interment for Ronald Johnson, 78, were held Nov. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Mr. Osmar Morris officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation was scheduled.
Mr. Johnson died Nov. 8 at Veterans Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Sept. 27, 1940, in Morgan County to Cecil J. and Floy Woodard Johnson. He was formerly employed by Hartselle Hospital as a nurse prior to his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one sister, Sarah J. Morris, and three nieces, Tracy Morris Michael, Monty Morris Vest and Ceil Morris Heath.
Johnny W. McNutt Sr.
Falkville
Funeral service for Johnny W. McNutt Sr., age 72, of Falkville was held Nov. 12 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with brother Aaron Dawson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mr. McNutt, who died Nov. 10 at his home, was born May 21, 1946, in Morgan County to Alford Early McNutt and Ethel Brown McNutt.
Johnny loved gospel music and was an accomplished musician. He had the ability to play any instrument he picked up and could sing any part.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, retired from MCATS and Morgan County Schools. Johnny loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Frances McCollum McNutt; a son, Johnny McNutt Jr. (Renee); a daughter, Amy Green (Willie); four grandchildren, Caleb Roper, Ashley Shumake, Zachary Cole (Vanessa) and Courtney Shumake; and six great-grandchildren.
William Buchanan, Caleb Roper, Zachary Cole, Buddy Roper, John McCollum and William McCollum will serve as pallbearers. Eli Roper, Owen Roper, Jewlian Smith and Dadrian Buchanan were honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to say thanks to Comfort Care Hospice for their wonderful compassionate care.
Linda Garner Holladay

Linda Garner Holladay, age 76, of Danville passed away Nov. 10 at her residence. The funeral was Monday at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Danville. Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Kay Holladay; parents, John and Ruth Garner; and brothers, Jack and Bobby Garner.
She is survived by her husband, Buren Holladay; one son, Thomas Holladay (Amanda) of Orlando, Florida; grandsons, Troy Holladay, Austin and Cameron; granddaughter, Sydney Evans (Grayson); and sister, Gail Conner.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
