Million dollar resurfacing project slated for Highway 36
According to an advisory released by the Alabama Department of Transportation, a $1.2 million resurfacing project is set to begin next week on Alabama Highway 36. The project will result in single lane closure that could lead to delays.
The project will begin March 25 and will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. According to the advisory there will be a pilot car to direct traffic through the work areas, and motorists are advised to expect brief stops and plan accordingly.
The resurfacing will be taking place on the 8.3 mile portion of the highway from Interstate 65 to Alabama Highway 67.
