USPS to hold annual food drive
The United States Postal Service (USPS) will hold their annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive this Saturday. Postal service employees will collect canned goods throughout the community to help benefit local food pantries. According to a press release from USPS, last year 71.6 million pounds of food was collected nationwide. Residents can donate non-perishable food by placing them in a bag near their mailbox or visiting their local post office.
Items to be donated include: canned meats, canned vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal, juice, cooking oil, boxed baking mixes or any other type of non-perishable item. Call or visit your local post office for additional information
