Main Street West Gallery opens for business with ribbon cutting
Special to the Enquirer
A new art gallery opens for business in downtown Hartselle. Main Street West Gallery held a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce Dec. 17 before a come–and–go open house event. The gallery, owned by Laura Ritch and Cynthia Kovach, focuses on off-the-wall artistic experiences, and the pair also offer framing services. “There is a lot that is art that doesn’t just hang on a wall,” Ritch said. “It’s more than just paintings and pictures, so we went on this campaign to try to find things we consider to be works of art.” From unique hand–painted ornaments and gifts to one-of-a-kind chandeliers, Main Street West features distinctive pieces of art to rent or purchase. The new business is located at 123 Main St. W., in downtown Hartselle, and it is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
