New deputy sheriff takes oath

Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett, right, administers the Oath of Office to the county’s newest deputy sheriff, Britt Parker. Parker is the sixth of eight corrections officers from the Morgan County Jail to attend the Law Enforcement Academy since Puckett took office in 2019. Parker will now join the MCSO patrol division and complete the field training program.
