Hartselle man faces domestic violence, possession charges

Hartselle officers went to 200 Milner St. NE to serve a domestic violence warrant on Wesley Lavonne Overton Feb. 1 – and officers made contact with Overton and placed him under arrest.

Officers said they observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and notified the Morgan County Drug Enforcement Unit.

Agents secured a search warrant and reportedly discovered a large amount of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Overton was subsequently charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $1,300.
