Books of the Week Mar. 22 – 26
Title: “Tangled”
Author: Alessandro Ferrari
Target age: 7–11 years old
This is one of our new graphic novels by Disney Comics.
They are all you would expect of a Disney comic: They follow the storyline of the movies and have bright, vivid illustrations enhancing the story – as should all graphic novels.
Our young patrons love them, and so do the librarians!
Title: “The Buy Nothing, Get Everything Plan”
Authors: Liesl Clark and Rebecca Rockefeller
Reviewer: Patricia Poe
This informative book tells the story of two friends who created a Facebook community in 2013 that has since evolved into something bigger and better than anything they hoped for.
Their Buy Nothing Project started small in their hometown and became a way to involve other people in helping the environment, especially with the trash that was washing up on the Seattle shores near their homes.
The book shows a seven-step process that will teach you how to declutter your home, buy fewer things and help you let go of your addiction to buying things you don’t need. It suggests items you do not need to buy ever again and provides ideas for making things yourself.
Maybe we can all spend less and share with others more.
This is a brand–new title available to be checked out at the William Bradford Huie Library of Hartselle.
