No-hitter leads Lady Tigers past Decatur

The Lady Tigers got some revenge in defeating Decatur 4-2 this past Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Red Raiders had defeated Hartselle in extra innings two weeks earlier.

Hartselle’s Jenna Smith was the star of the game after throwing a complete-game no-hitter. She allowed one earned run while striking out a season-high 15.

Decatur’s Madison Murphy kept the Lady Red Raiders in the game by striking out 12 Lady Tigers.

Jada Henderson homered and scored two runs to lead the Hartselle offense. Brantley Drake had two hits and an RBI, while Larissa Preuitt scored two runs.

The Lady Tigers are now 10-9 and 2-1 in area play.
