Multiple agencies respond for water rescue

Falkville Fire & Rescue and the Morgan County Rescue Squad were dispatched to Lacon Road near Vulcan Materials in response to a report of a subject trapped on top of their vehicle in flood waters March 18.  

Swiftwater personnel from both agencies made their way to the subject and assisted them back to safety. 

Other agencies involved were the Falkville Police Department, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Morgan County 911.  

First responder agencies remind the public of water safety: When water crosses the road, turn around, don’t drown.
