Hartselle Farmers Market to open Saturday

Opening day for the Hartselle Farmers Market on Sparkman Street will be Saturday – the earliest in the year the market has opened, according to market manager Erin Elledge Burleson.

The Morgan County Master Gardeners will be at the market with many plants, along with several meat vendors.

“It will be a smaller market because it’s so early in the season,” Burleson said, noting more vendor interest earlier in the season means the Hartselle Farmers Market is growing. “Now is the time to put your plants in the ground, so it’s perfect for anyone looking to grow their own vegetables.”
