Town of Falkville to host community-wide yard sale
The Town of Falkville invites all Falkville residents to be a part of their community–wide yard sale, to be held from April 30 through May 2!
All Falkville residents will be allowed to sell items in their yards/garages, with the permit fee waived. With spring cleaning time here, everyone will have items they want to get rid of, so why not make a little extra money?
Everyone is asked to come by the Falkville Town Hall and fill out a registration form.
The week following the yard sale, the town will be offering curbside pickup more frequently to haul off normally approved items.
So, everyone to come out to the Falkville community and pick up some good deals, April 30 through May 2!
Danville High School supports Ronald McDonald House Charities
Danville High School’s National Honor Society chapter is collecting aluminum pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
Please save your pop tabs from aluminum cans, vegetable/soup cans, pet cans, tuna cans, etc. Tabs can be dropped off at the high school office.
What does it take to help families? Well, 136 pounds of pop tabs will house a family for one night at the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham, and that means 950 pounds of pop tabs will house a family for a whole week.
Please remember that every bit helps! Thank you for your support.
Raining Easter Eggs at Falkville Elementary
It’s been raining Easter eggs at Falkville Elementary School. A total of almost 1,400 plastic eggs were dropped from an airplane – enough for each child to get five.
The students then redeemed those for a goody bag of Easter treats.
The egg drop was a big success with all Falkville Elementary students.
Danville High School Event Danville High School will be hosting an event – $10 athletic physicals, May 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Athletes and students planning to try out for middle or high school sports this coming year, 2021-22, need to show up for this.
