Stadthagen presents funds to sheriff’s office

District 9 Rep. Scott Stadthagen recently presented Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett with funds to secure several pieces of equipment for the sheriff’s office.  

According to the MCSO, the funding will be used to secure ballistic vests for several new employees, body cameras, portable breath tests – PBT or Breathalyzer – to combat DUIs, stop sticks or spike strips to assist in safely ending vehicle pursuits, tasers used to incapacitate combative individuals, a drone for search–and–rescue operations and more.  

“We are grateful for Rep. Stadthagen’s continued support of law enforcement,” said MCSO public information officer Mike Swafford.
