“Aftermath” is a new release in Christian fiction by Terri Blackstock.

It opens with Taylor and her two best friends attending a political rally where their favorite band is scheduled to play. Everyone is having a good time when, all of a sudden, an explosion throws them all into chaos. Taylor escapes without her friends and starts to experience shock and anxiety.

Meanwhile, Dustin is driving down the interstate when blue lights flash behind him. He is being stopped by police with a warrant to search his car based on an anonymous tip.  When they find explosives in his trunk, he is more shocked than anyone.

Arrested and threatened with being charged with terrorism, he uses his one phone call to reach an old friend, attorney Jamie Powell.

Jamie knows Dustin is innocent, but she must prove he is being framed. Can she find the enemy of the targeted politician before the community takes matters into its own hands?

This classic children’s book follows the hungry caterpillar from hatching to eating his way through the days of the week and finally transforming himself into a beautiful butterfly. The beloved tale is passed down through the generations in many families.

The first story time for little listeners during the Summer Reading Program will be reading this timeless book and taking home an at-home craft.

Eric Carle has passed away at the age 91. His books have been instrumental in the lives of many. We learn our colors and numbers and days of the week with him. We wanted to honor the legacy he has left behind.

Our theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program is “Tails & Tales.” June 3 will be our kick-off at 10:30 a.m. We are excited to dive into all the activities we have planned.
