Congratulations to Brewer High School retirees
Congratulations go out this week to the following Brewer High School retirees for 2019-2020 and 2020-2021: Nita Garrett, Kathy Larsen, Jeff Andrews, Doug Farris, Jeff Thompson, Dennis Brickell and Rhonda Slater.
Community Area Activities
Jim and Karen Bryant Walker of DeSoto, Kansas, enjoyed visiting with her sister, Kay Farrer, at Summerford Nursing Home and also relatives in the Massey and Corinth areas. Ferrell Anders of Fairhope and Larry Anders of Sheffield joined Karen and Jim for lunch Thursday.
On their route home, the Walkers visited Jim’s family in the Marion, Ill.
Harold Raley from Texas and former West Point area resident hosted a lunch for his classmates of 1953. Those attending included Betty Sue Burnham, Yvonne Sterling, Charles Harvey, Shirley Pope and Dana Henslee. Everyone enjoyed the meal and visiting at Logan’s Roadhouse.

May 23 Tony Smithson taught the Discipleship Training Class at 5 p.m., and Hilton Kelley conducted the evening worship service, at Corinth West Baptist Church.
Larry Ricks, Shanda Garner, David Shedd and Glenn Miller delivered 60 meals to the Corinth West community May 22.
The Corinth West Decoration Day program was directed by Lindsey Walker, and included in the program were Sherry Harper, Terrie Wallace, Mary Asherbranner, Roxanne Asherbranner, Darrell and Ann Maddox, Melanie Maddox, Jamie and Billy Troutman, Rodney and Teresa Looney and family, Haley Aaron, Kayla Aaron and Carol Woods.
The members of Mt. Vernon Congregational and Corinth West Methodist are holding a joint Bible School June 6-10 from 6-8:30 p.m. The theme for the Bible School is “Rocky Railway.”
Neil and Dawn Estes host luncheon
Neil and Dawn Estes of the Massey community hosted a Mexican fiesta meal for their son, Aaron, who is an athletic trainer at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Those attending were his grandparents, Bob and Wanda Chaney of New Center community, Mary Estes of Cole Springs, April Thompson and Kaitlyn and Jeston of Hartselle, Rena and Steven Campbell and Waylon and Kaibree Wright of Falkville and Taylor and Tristan Wright, as well as Lauren Estes of Cullman and Natalee Estes of Massey.
