Hartselle library offers Tails and Tales summer program
Special to the Enquirer
The William Bradford Huie Library of Hartselle had a wonderful first full week of the Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program.
This week the special guest was Ashley Taylor with Alabama Service Dogs and her dog, Theo. Taylor explained how dogs become service dogs and their job qualifications.
Taylor detailed how people should behave around service dogs while the dogs are working. She also explained it takes about two years for a dog to become fully certified.
She answered questions from parents and children, and then children were able to meet Theo.
The next reading program will be held June 17. Lyla, the grief dog from Peck Funeral Home, will be visiting the library.
