Morgan County students make dean’s list at Samford

Samford University recently recognized 1,703 students named to the 2021 spring semester dean’s list, including several from Morgan County.
To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean’s list is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.
Five students named to the dean’s list hail from Morgan County: Lauren Jones, Kruti Patel and Cassie Powell, all of Decatur, and McKenna Wright and Juliet Bryant, both of Hartselle.
Samford is a leading Christian university offering undergraduate programs grounded in the liberal arts with an array of nationally recognized graduate and professional schools. Founded in 1841, Samford is the 87th-oldest institution of higher learning in the United States.
