Hartselle hosts USSSA North Area Rec All-Star Tournament

Hartselle Park and Rec hosted the 2021 USSSA North Area All-Star tournament last weekend at the Grady and Margie Long Complex and the Sparkman Park fields.

37 teams came from Florence, Madison, Curry, Jasper, and all across North Alabama to complete in the two-day tournament. Play ended early due to the heavy rain that fell Saturday afternoon.

Winners included Hartselle 6U, Decatur 8U, Florence 10U, Madison Co. 12U, and Lawrence Co. 16U.

The Hartselle 6U team defeated Athens 25-4 and Decatur 26-5 in their first two games before the tournament was canceled.

Teams now advance to the USSSA State Tournament this weekend in Athens at the Sportsplex.
