Moulton man faces theft charges

June 18, Hartselle Police Officer Baker arrested Danny Joel Early, 35, of Moulton for theft of property, first degree. Early was given a $5,000 bond. 

According to the Hartselle Police Department, the arrest rose out of a June 10 event, when a victim reported that Early allegedly was at his residence late at night. The victim reported when he woke up, his vehicle and cell phone were missing.  

Investigators attempted to locate the vehicle and suspect but were unable to do so.  

After speaking with some witnesses, Baker obtained a warrant for Early, who was arrested at his residence in Lawrence County and transported to the Morgan County Jail.
