Police arrest Cash App bandit

A Hartselle man is under arrest after allegedly stealing $1K using the victim’s phone. 

July 1, Hartselle police arrested Jonathan William Pike, 36, of Hartselle for theft of property in the third degree.  

June 24 a report had been made at the police department alleging Pike used the victim’s phone to transfer $1,000 from the victim’s Cash App to himself.  

HPD located Pike, and he allegedly admitted to transferring the money without permission of the victim. 

Pike was given a $1,000 bond and transferred to the Morgan County Jail.
