Hartselle man faces domestic violence arrest

Nov. 14 Hartselle investigator Tania Burgess arrested Eddie Edward Dotson, 44, of Hartselle, for domestic violence by strangulation or suffocation.

According to the Hartselle Police Department, the arrest was the result of an investigation of a domestic disturbance between Dotson and a female. When officers arrived on scene, the female had visible injuries indicative of someone who had been choked or strangled.

Because Dotson fled the area prior to officers’ arrival, Burgess obtained a warrant for his arrest. Dotson was later arrested and transported to the Morgan County Jail with a $5,000 bond.
